IND vs AUS, 4th Test: What Are The Session Timings For Day 1 Of Melbourne Test?

The iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) is all set to host the highly anticipated fourth Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia on December 26 (Thursday). India will look to extend their unbeaten record at the MCG. 

However, it would not be wrong to say that the India's main concern is their batting form, which has been inconsistent throughout the first three Tests of the series.

Despite some bright individual performances, the Indian batting line-up has been under scrutiny. Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, have struggled for runs, and it is important for the them to regain their form in the fourth match, especially as the series enters is a critical phase.

With the Test series tied at 1-1 it is expected that  team management and captain Rohit Sharma will make changes in the batting order in a bid to find the right combination. 

On the Australian side, there is a fresh face in the squad. Australia has already announced their playing XI  announced with Sam Konstas making his Test debut in the Boxing Day Test.

What Time Will IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test Start? 

The fourth Test of the ongoing Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia will be played from December 26 to 30 at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground. The toss on Day 1 (December 26) is scheduled at 10 am local time, 4:30 am IST.

What Are The Session Times For IND vs AUS Boxing Day Test?

The much-anticipated Boxing day Test will start each day at 5:00 AM IST, provided that there are no interruptions due to rain or other adverse weather conditions. 

Players will start the day for 2-hour contest from 5:00 AM to 7:00 AM. This will be followed by a 40-minute lunch break that is from 7:00 AM to 7:40 AM. There will be another 2-hour session of play, leading into a tea break. The final session will begin from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM.
