Ashes 2023 | Josh Hazlewood Marks Splendid Comeback With A Brilliant Five-Wicket Haul

Australian seamer Josh Hazlewood completed his 10th five-wicket-haul in Test match cricket on Friday when he dismissed Stuart Broad in the post-Lunch session.

It all happened during the third delivery of the 100th over when Broad cleared his front leg in order to have a mighty slog at a full-length delivery.

However, the southpaw ended up skying it high in the air and Hazlewood made no mistake in poaching it safely.

This is the 4th wicket that Hazlewood took on the 3rd day to back up his dismissal of Harry Brook, Chris Woakes and Mark Wood to back it up with the prized scalp of Joe Root on the 2nd evening albeit thanks to an unplayable grubber.

Meanwhile, England have swelled up their lead close to the 250-run-mark, with wicketkeeper-batsman Jonny Bairstow doing the bulk of the scoring at the backend.

At the time of writing, the Yorkshire basher had moved on to 80 off just 68 deliveries with the help of 7 fours and 3 sixes.

With the weather set to play a spoilsport on the 4th and 5th day, the home side will look to get as many Australian wickets as possible once they get bowled out or if they declare.
