The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) have named a 15-member squad for England's upcoming third Ashes 2023 Test against Australia, which starts July 6. England, who lost the second Test on Sunday, have dropped fast bowler Matthew Potts, and young spinner Rehan Ahmed, who were part of the 17-man squad for the Lord's Test.

Interestingly, wicket-keeper Ben Foakes continues to be ignored by selectors, despite Jonathan Bairstow's problems behind the stumps. While other members remain the same, Ollie Pope's injury remains a concern.

Pope, will undergo scans today for his injured right shoulder, who missed the action on Day 4. Dan Lawrence could make his way into the XI if Pope is unfit.

Chris Woakes and Mark Wood continue to retain their place in the squad despite not having featured in the series thus far.

The Ben Stokes-led XI trail the Ashes 2023 0-2, having lost both the Edgbaston and Lord's Tests, respectively.

Cricket Australia (CA) are yet to announce Australia's squad for the remainder of the series.
