It's game time! India are kicking off their Champions Trophy 2025 journey with a match against Bangladesh at the Dubai International Cricket Ground on February 20. Bangladesh won the toss and chose to bat first against Rohit Sharma’s team.
It is important to note that India have chosen Harshit Rana and Mohammad Shami for their pace attack, while Bangladesh have opted for a balanced combination of three seamers and two spinners alongside their batters.
During the toss, Bangladesh Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto revealed the real reason behind the decision. He said,
"I like to bat first. Looks like a pretty good wicket. We want to put runs on the board.
Meanwhile, Indian captain Rohit Sharma feels that they wanted to bowl first, he stated,
"Well, I would've fielded first as I feel we have played few years back out here so it plays better under the lights. We feel chasing is better. Anyways, they won the toss and opted to bat so now we need to see how we do with the ball. "
