In the 41st match of the World Cup 2023, the Blackcaps are taking on the Sri Lankan team in their last group-stage match. This is a must-win game for the Kiwis if they are looking for the semifinal spot. Trent Boult, who has always been a match-winner for them is roaring at the World Cup 2023, and has already picked three wickets in the ongoing match against Sri Lanka and reached the mark of 600 international wickets.

The left-arm seamer never disappoints in the big games and has shown once again that he will do anything for that semifinal spot. In this World Cup, he has already picked 13 wickets and is leading the pace attack of the Kiwis from the front.

The weather which was not in the favour of the Kiwis but has completely changed now and it's sunny out there. With the 10th wicket partnership of 43 runs between Theekshana and Madushanka, Sri Lanka have posted a total of 171.

Trent Boult on path to greatness

When it comes to the ICC tournaments, Boult has been the go-to bowler for the Kiwis. Not only he is a wicket-taking option, but he bowls economically as well. The left-arm seamer had 598 international wickets before this clash and with already three wickets in this game, he has crossed the mark of 600 international wickets.

With 314 Test wickets, 210 ODI wickets and 74 T20I wickets, Trent Boult is one of the modern-day greats. If the Kiwis win this game, they are more likely to qualify as their net run rate is higher than Afghanistan and Pakistan, so they will be playing the semifinal against the Indian team at the Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai.
