In a marvellous performance against India where England crushed the Men in Blue by 10 wickets, Alex Hales was declared man of the match. During the post match presentation, Hales expressed his ecstatic feelings while mentioning that it is one of his best innings.

The 33-year old said that this venue has a really good surface where players get value for their shots plus he has some really good memories here. Also, the opener added that this game against India is huge moment in his career as it was a semi-final and nothing could make it more special.

However, the right-hander was of the opinion that he thought he would never be playing World Cup ever again in his career and especially in Australia where he has had some great memories.

"It will be right up there for sure (referring to a perfect innings). Huge occasion, India in a semifinal of a World Cup, really happy with the way I played and it is as special as it gets. This is one of the best grounds to bat in especially in the powerplay, a really good surface and great value for good cricket shots, this is a ground I have good memories of and enjoy batting here,

"I never thought I would play in a World Cup again, so to get the chance is a very special feeling, in a country (Australia) that I love and spend a lot of time in, tonight is one of the best night's of my career. Jos was unbelievable."

Alex also praised his skipper terming him 'unbelievable' in a historic chase at Adelaide Oval. England will now face Pakistan in the finals of the T20 World Cup 2022 at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
