Skipper Najmul Shanto batted well to set up a 252 total for Afghanistan in tricky conditions of Sharjah . Meanwhile, Afghanistan never found a footing in the chase as consistent fall of wickets led to 68 runs short, leading to unfortunate loss.

Meanwhile, Sediqullah Atal and Rahmat Shah were going strong with a 50-run partnership, but an unfortunate confusion led to Rahmat’s run out, who had just scored a half-century.
Bangladesh tightened the leash, and Nasun Ahmed removed Azmatullah Omarzai for a golden duck. Gulbadin Naib’s fighting 26 off 25 balls was also not enough, as Shoriful Islam got the better of him. With that wicket , Afghanistan were reduced to 181/8 at 41.1 overs.
