In a significant development, England have announced the squad for upcoming Ashes series. The five-match Test series against Australia will begin from November 21. The ECB took to social media to reveal the 16-member list.

Ben Stokes will continue to lead the Three Lions, while Harry Brook has replaced Ollie Pope as the vice-captain and will serve as Stokes' deputy for the Ashes. Also, Chris Woakes, who avoided surgery for his dislocated shoulder too misses out from the 16-member list.

Talking about the rest, Jofra Archer, Mark Wood, Josh Tongue and Shoaib Bashir will lead the bowling attack. Here is England's complete squad for Ashes 2025-26.

Noticeable Changes In The Squad

Earlier, there were doubts over Ben Stokes, Shoaib Bashir, and Mark Wood, who were struggling with injuries, but all the three players have recovered from their respective injuries and will travel Down Under for the important series.

Also, there were reports that Rehan Ahmed, who had a great county season, might replace Liam Dawson as the second spinner, but the ECB has now gone ahead with Will Jacks as the second spinner, who will also add betting depth to the team.

Since Chris Woakes has failed to recover in time for the Ashes, Matthew Potts has been added to the squad for Ashes.  Rest, Gus Atkinson, Jacob Bethell, Jamie Smith, and Brydon Carse have all retained their place from the last series that England played against India in July-August.
