India crashed out of the 2024 edition of the Hong Kong International Sixes after they lost to UAE by just a single run in a thrilling encounter. UAE smashed India bowlers all over the park and blasted 130 in just six overs. India, on the other hand, were well behind the game at one point in time, but Stuart Binny smashed 44 of 11 balls to bring India close to a victory.
Stuart Binny who played for India across formats and also played for teams like RCB and RR in IPL, smashed four sixes and a four in the final over, but it was still not enough for the Men in Blue. They needed 32 in the final over and Binning started it with a boundary towards the cover fence. It was followed by a wide and the second legal ball was a low full toss on the pads from 'round the wicket. Binny whipped it over deep backward square leg with great flair and the third ball was hit with great ease over long on.
Binny Fails To Keep His Calm On The Final Ball
The fourth ball was tonked over deep mid-wicket while the fifth one was carved over deep point for another maximum. However, with three needed off the final ball, Stuart Binny got an inside edge onto his pad and the batters could manage only one run to give UAE a memorable win by 1 run.
Binny also picked three wickets with the ball, but his all-round heroics were not good enough to help India notch up a win against rampant UAE.
