He also became the first cricketer to score 3500 runs at any venue in T20 cricket.
Virat Kohli Reaches Historic Milestone At Chinnaswamy
The Indian legend has been playing for RCB since the inaugural edition of the IPL. It is the home ground of his franchise and has broken plenty of records at the venue along the way, with the latest one signifying his connection with the iconic M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The second in the list is Mushfiqur Rahim who has 3373 T20 runs in Mirpur. England star, James Vince is third in the list with 3253 runs at Rose Bowl, Southampton.
Virat Kohli got to the landmark of 3500 T20 runs with back-to-back boundaries against Jofra Archer in the third over, and is looking set for another big score. He has already got four fifties in the tournament and if he continues to do well, he could well grab the Orange cap for the second consecutive time in IPL.
Overall, Virat Kohli has over 13000 T20 runs, and has nine hundreds to his name with an average of over 40. RCB have not won the trophy though all these years, and would be hoping to leave that behind and bring home the glory under the leadership of Rajat Patidar.
