Zimbabwe Cricket Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani joins ACA and ICC

Zimbabwe Cricket Chairman Tavengwa Mukuhlani has bagged additional responsibilities within the cricketing fraternity. He has now become the interim Vice Chairman of the Africa Cricket Association (ACA). Additionally, he has also been roped in by the International Cricket Council (ICC) to become a member of their Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee.

At the helm of Zimbabwe Cricket since 2015, Mukuhlani was re-elected as the chairman of the board following an annual general meeting in 2019.

Tavengwa Mukuhlani bags new cricketing responsibilities

Tavengwa Mukuhlani has become the interim vice chairman of the ACA. Following his appointment, ACA Chief Executive Cassim Suliman praised Mukuhlani and expressed his confidence over the cricket administrator. Suliman said:

“We are looking forward to him being productive, like he is doing at ZC, to help the ACA move forward in terms of cricket development and growing the women’s game across Africa.”

While he has also been co-opted by the ICC into becoming a member of their Finance and Commercial Affairs Committee, he also helms the apex body’s Cricket Kenya Committee.

Additionally, he is part of the ICC committee which is focusing its bid to include cricket in the Olympic Games from 2028 onwards.
