Catches wins you matches, and one of the sharpest catch of the IPL 2023 was taken by Aman Khan in the ongoing game between Delhi Capitals (DC) and Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).
Put into bat first, RCB were off to a flying start, courtesy, Virat Kohli and Faf du Plessis. The duo started off from where they left in the previous game and attacked the DC bowlers right from the word go.
The boundary floodgates opened immediately and it looked like the opening duo will add more misery to the DC attack. However, one sharp chance taken by Aman Khan changed the complexion.
Mitch Marsh bowled a back of a length ball as Faf saw the opportunity to clear the in-field. He miscued his attempted pull shot as the ball flew to the right of Aman Khan, stationed at mid wicket.
The fielder had very little time to react as he stretched to his right and plucked the ball to his right hand. The ball threatened to slip out of his hand, but Aman Khan had great game awareness as he juggled with it and finally managed to grab it comfortably.
At the time of writing, RCB are 53 for 1, with Kohli batting at 27.
