IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals were handed a shambolic 112-run defeat by Royal Challengers Bangalore on Sunday afternoon. Batting first, RCB posted a competitive total of 171 runs, courtesy of fighting half centuries from Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell and a priceless cameo from Anuj Rawat. In response, the Royals crumble like a pack of cards, being bowled out for a paltry 59 in 10.3 overs. In this process, the inaugural champions recorded the third-lowest team total in the history of the tournament.

Although they lost a few quick wickets in the middle overs, Anuj Rawat played a sensational cameo to help them breach the 170-run mark.

In reply, RR got off to a disastrous start and kept losing wickets regularly, eventually finishing on 59. With this horrendous defeat, the Sanju Samson-led outfit fell to the sixth spot in the IPL 2023 points table and will take on Punjab Kings in a do-or-die game in Dharamsala on May 19.
