Dear Virat Kohli,
For years, you have defied cricketing logics and have redefined brilliance. Watching you walk out in the middle has given us a sense of pride and security. Whatever the situation of match, we believed - 'Kohli Hain, Toh Mumkin Hain'.
It will be an injustice to the your service if we as fans turn against you in your toughest times. But it pains us to see you struggling and the critics questioning your determination. However, logics and arguments are ending for us fans as those against you are being proven right time and again.
It was in your captaincy when we learnt to give it back to teams like Australia on their home ground. It was under you leadership that we developed a pace attack that the world feared. You previous shows in Australia gave us the hope that you will once more rise from the ashes and give it back to your critics. But today, when were dismissed for 5, it broke hearts. This was followed by your drop catch and the critics roaring more than ever.
Kohli, Save Your Legacy
Being a cricket follower and an ardent fan we get the humanitarian side behind our 'God'. But as an Indian cricket lover, I would request you to save your legacy. Maintaining cricketing schedule with your personal life might be leading to dip in your performance.
We have been the greatest ever batter in ODIs for India and even the world. About 1.4 Billion people would love to see you play the WC 2027 once more and bring the trophy home with your valuable contribution. With your level of fitness and your approach in ODIs, you are still inevitable for Indian team.
Can we just ponder on the though that you concentrate on ODIs now more than ever. Being our greatest resource at present, you look to plan for the upcoming WC. The avenue of Test cricket is changing and I know that you have the quality and enough cricket left in you to turn things around. However, wouldn't it be better to hand over the baton of Test cricket to the future generation and save your legacy in the ODI format?
