Tonight, Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals will battle it out in the 37th match of the ongoing Indian Premier League season. With both teams having some T20 superstars in their lineup, a nail-biting encounter is anticipated at the iconic Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur.
Ahead of this fascinating clash, former Indian opener Aakash Chopra expected in-form CSK batters Ajinkya Rahane and Shivam Dube to put up another scintillating display of batting tonight.
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Chopra even jokingly stated that these two batters would be desperate to prove their worth against the Royals, who released them from their squad before they eventually became a part of CSK.
Here's what Chopra stated
"Their batting - we spoke about the two openers. Rahane and Dube are in any case saying - 'See my revenge if you reject my love'. That is going to happen again because both Rahane and Dube used to play from this franchise only and are no longer a part of them. I feel Jaddu will once again do well."
Notably, Rahane and Dube have been in fabulous form, emerging as CSK's go-to men with the bat in the IPL this season. While Rahane has amassed 209 runs at a magnificent strike rate of 199.05, Dube has been a nightmare for the opponents, garnering 184 runs at a strike rate of 157.26.
So considering their red-hot form, we expect them to step up with the bat and help CSK avenge their loss to RR tonight.
