As the 2026 is here, Bangladesh will want to learn lessons from the past and aim for better results in the future. With careful planning and renewed motivation, Bangladesh will be preparing for a demanding and exciting 2026 season.
After a busy start with the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Bangladesh will step into international action almost immediately.
In total, Bangladesh is scheduled to play 10 Test matches, 23 ODIs, and 12 T20Is in 2026, along with at least four matches in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup.
Having said this, in this article, let's take a look at Bangladesh's cricket schedule for 2026-27.
ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 (February–March)
The year will begin with the T20 World Cup 2026, jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka. Bangladesh has been placed in Group C and will play four group-stage matches. Their campaign will start on February 7 against the West Indies at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
This will be followed by matches against Italy on February 9 and England on February 14, both at the same venue.
Bangladesh's final group match will be against Nepal on February 17 at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Pakistan Tour of Bangladesh (March–April)
After the World Cup, Bangladesh will return home to host Pakistan for a complete bilateral series. The tour will include two Test matches, three ODIs, and three T20Is. They ODI series will begin on March 9, with matches taking place from March 12 to March 16.
Facing Pakistan at home will be a significant challenge, especially in the longer formats.
New Zealand Tour of Bangladesh (April-May)
Soon after the Pakistan series, New Zealand will visit Bangladesh in April. The tour will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is. The ODI series will begin on April 17. The T20I series will start on April 27 and conclude on May 2.
Australia Tour of Bangladesh (June)
In June, Bangladesh will host Australia for a limited-overs series. The tour will feature three ODIs and three T20Is.
Australia's white-ball tour of Bangladesh will begin on June 5 with three ODIs. The T20I series will be played between June 15-20.
Australia's aggressive style of play will present a tough challenge, and these matches will be valuable preparation ahead of Bangladesh's overseas tours later in the year.
Bangladesh Tour of Zimbabwe (July)
Bangladesh will tour Zimbabwe in July for a mixed-format series. The tour will include two Test matches and five ODIs (Dates and venues not announced).
Bangladesh Tour of Ireland (August)
Before heading to Australia, Bangladesh will visit Ireland in August. The tour will consist of three ODIs and three T20Is (Dates and venues to be announced).
Bangladesh Tour of Australia (August)
One of the toughest challenges of the year for Bangladesh will be the Test tour of Australia in August. This will be Bangladesh’s first Test series in Australia in 24 years. The dates for this tour have not been announced; however, venues will likely be Darwin and Mackay.
India Tour of Bangladesh (September)
After returning from Australia, Bangladesh will host India in September for a three-match ODI series. The ODI series will be played on September 1, 3 and 6, followed by the T20Is on September 9, 12 and 13.
West Indies Tour of Bangladesh (October–November)
In October and November, the West Indies will tour Bangladesh for a two-match Test series. This will give Bangladesh another opportunity to strengthen their Test record at home and perform well in familiar conditions.
The team will play three-day warm-up match from October 22-24. The first Test will be played from for October 28-November 1, whereas the second will be played from November 5-9.
Bangladesh Tour of South Africa (November–December)
The year will conclude with a challenging tour of South Africa. Bangladesh will play two Tests and three ODIs during the tour (Dates and venues not announced).
