In a significant development, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has officially announced an extensive and exciting home international schedule for the 2026 season. Notably, the calendar includes the hosting of four Test matches, 12 One Day Internationals (ODIs), and nine Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).
The home season will commence in March, shortly after the conclusion of the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 in India and Sri Lanka.
The most notable announcement has been that of India's tour of Bangladesh 2026. It is worth noting that team India were scheduled to travel to Bangladesh for a white-ball series in 2025. However, due to the political tensions between the 2 countries, the tour was pushed to 2026.
Now, BCB has announced India's arrival in August-September 2026. However, the BCCI is yet to confirm the development officially.
To begin with, Pakistan will tour Bangladesh for a three-match ODI series. Subsequently, New Zealand will arrive in April and May for a complete white-ball tour, featuring three ODIs followed by three T20Is.
