The second edition of SA20 is on the verge of its ultimate days with just two games left in the fixture. The playoffs phase will see Durban Super Giants (DSG) square off against Joburg Super Kings (JSK) in the Wanderers, Johannesburg. The one who wins will progress to the finals to face Sunrisers Eastern Cape. The upcoming contest is going to slate at 9:00 PM IST on February 8.

The Joburg Super Kings finished fourth in the points table and went on to eliminate Paarl Royals after humiliating them in the Wanderers last night. The pacers were disciplined with the ball and the fielding was sensational that restricted the opposition to 138 which was chased with ease by the Super Kings top order. Meanwhile, the Super Giants suffered a loss in the Qualifier 1 against Sunrisers Eastern Cape as their batting collapsed to chase a moderate total in Newlands. Earlier they were second in the points table with 32 points from ten matches and will look to get the same momentum.

DSG vs JSK, Qualifier 2- Toss Factor

The Wanderers has seen some high scoring totals in the coveted event. The last game saw over 400 runs being scored and hence this can be termed as a batting unit. Most of the games played here this season has been won by the side batting second. The pacers tend to enjoy more here but the spinners get decent turn as well.

Scenario: If Joburg Super Kings field first

The Super Kings have plenty of match winners but not all of them clicked throughout the tournament. But their last couple of games saw some of the batters including Faf du Plessis and Moeen Ali getting back in touch and the management would be hoping to see them continue with their momentum.

Scenario: If Durban's Super Giants field first

The Super Giants are a well-poised side and have a plethora of match-winners in their ranks.  Heinrich Klaasen, Matthew Breetzke, JJ Smuts, Quinton de Kock, Tony de Zorzi, and Wiaan Mulder form the core of their batting department. They had a rare batting collapse in Qualifier 1 and will look to bounce back in style.

When most batters failed, he carried the team to the playoff stages and also produced a blazing knock against Paarl Royals in the Eliminator.  having scored 367 runs from  ten innings, du Plooy is the leading run-getter  for JSK in the tournament.

Heinrich Klaasen (DSG): The wicketkeeper-batter has been explosive with the bat except for a few matches in the mega-event. Nandre Burger (JSK): The tall pacer will key for the Super Kings if they have to topple a heavyweight like the Super Giants. Burger scalped a three-fer in the last game and scalped a important wickets in the game. He can extract bounce off the surface due to his height and therefore can be handy.

Quinton de Kock (DSG): The southpaw may have blown hot and cold in SA20 2024 but he can be a match-winner on his day. De Kock has been batting in the middle order for some time and has done well playing some matured knocks.

DSG vs JSK, Qualifier 2- High Risk, High Reward

JJ Smuts (DSG): The all-rounder has piled up 286 runs and is the third-highest run-getter for his side in the tourney. Smuts has played some fantastic knocks in setting up winning totals at the top of the order and can also be more than handy with his seam-up.

Faf du Plessis (JSK): If the Super Kings have to make the final of SA20, it is important for the captain to fire. Faf played two match-winning knocks recently - one against MI Cape Town in a must-win game and the other in Qualifier 1 against Paarl Royals yesterday.
