Comedy has always been a debatable concept in India. While comedians demand freedom of speech, the audience wants them to draw a line between comedy and distasteful comments over respected individuals.
In a fresh controversy, Ranveer Allahbadia, a social media star and famous podcast host, was criticised for passing an insensitive remark involving a parent’s romantic relationship.
He was invited as a guest at comedian Samay Raina’s parody show, ‘India’s Got Latent’ where he passed the remark.

Yuvraj Singh displeased with Ranveer Allahbadia's conduct?
After the controversy blew out, Ranveer Allahbadia, once hailed as a knowledgeable and spiritual person, was called an immoral human being. He lost the support of some famous people on the internet.
Joining the list of people to boycott Ranveer is former Indian cricketer Yuvraj Singh. He unfollowed the podcast host on Instagram despite being a former guest on his show ‘Beer Biceps.’
Yuvraj Singh is following the footsteps of Virat Kohli who also previously unfollowed Allahbadia on Instagram. The podcaster has been an avid fan of Kohli and has always wished to have him as a guest on his show.
However, after the recent controversy, Ranveer Allahbadia is unlikely to live his dream in the near future.
