Kambli, who has been facing serious health issues, made a rare public appearance at the event.

Kambli was recently discharged from the hospital after battling a urinary infection and brain clots. He was admitted to Akruti Hospital in Thane on December 21, 2024, and was discharged on January 1, 2025. The 52-year-old is still on the road to recovery, but his appearance at the Wankhede Stadium brought a sense of hope and inspiration to fans and the cricketing community.
