Recently, he shared images of his vintage Audi 100 pictures along with a heartwarming caption. Fans are reliving the memory of this timeless car.

Shastri Flaunts His Audi 100

The nation is buzzing with excitement at the three-day Raymond Auto Fest, hosted by Gautam Singhania, as vintage car memories take center stage. Adding a twist to it, former Indian coach Ravi Shastri joined this festivity and proudly flaunts the 40-year-old prestigious Audi 100 that he was gifted after the 1985 Benson & Hedges Cup heroics.

The former Indian coach’s vintage car became a center of attraction. The former coach posed with his iconic Audi 100, even signing it later on. After sharing a bunch of photos of posing with the iconic car, he penned down a heartwarming note reliving the memories.

Shastri’s Heroics Shines In 1985 Benson & Hedges Cup

In his playing days, Ravi Shastri was one of the biggest stars of the team. In the 1985 Benson & Hedges Cup, he shined his unwavering talent and propelled India towards victory. In that tournament, Team India was in their prime form and defeated West Indies, Australia, and New Zealand on Australian soil.

India’s clash with Pakistan in the Benson & Hedges Cup final was unforgettable, and Ravi Shastri was the hero of the moment. While opening the innings, he smashed an unbeaten 63 runs and secured one crucial scalp. After dominating the entire tournament with 182 runs and 8 wickets, he was crowned the 'Man of the Series' award and won the Audi 100. He drove it all over the MCG after beating Pakistan in final. In that auto sport event, fans relived the nostalgia again.
