Zaheer Khan, after years of terrorizing batters at the international stage, recently had a crack at Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan during a promotional event in Mumbai. The two renowned Indian personalities caught up with each other on October 4 as part of a promotional campaign for the 2023 World Cup by digital travel brand Booking.com.

Booking.com, who also happen to be the official accommodation partner for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 in India, launched a campaign ‘Howzat for your perfect stay’ in Mumbai a day prior to the launch of the tournament.

Part of a World Cup 2023 promotional campaign for Booking.com, both Zaheer Khan and Varun Dhawan enthralled an over-enthusiastic crowd in Mumbai with a game of cricket.

Dhawan picked up the bat and faced the speedster for a few deliveries, and much to the amusement of everyone present at the arena, even mimicked the gimmicks of a professional batsman. Meanwhile, Khan cheerfully sent down a couple of slower deliveries from his end.



The World Cup 2023 will commence with a match between New Zealand and defending champions England on October 5. The much-awaited fixture is slated to be held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

Hosts India, on the other hand, will kick-off their campaign by facing Australia on October 8 at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium. One of India’s most-anticipated clash of the tournament remains their forthcoming bout against arch-rivals Pakistan.
