In a recent interview, a surprising revelation was made regarding former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar's past admiration for Bollywood actress Sonali Bendre.

During an interview in the past, Akhtar had boldly expressed his fondness and affection for Sonali, even jokingly stating that he would propose marriage to her, and if she refused, he would resort to kidnapping.

This humorous yet concerning statement caught the attention of famous YouTuber Shubhankar Mishra, who brought up the topic during a recent podcast with the actress.

During a conversation between Mishra and Bendre on the podcast, the topic of Akhtar's popularity in Pakistan and his association with the Indian actress in various search results came up. She also seemed to express a hint of scepticism regarding this claim, stating that even in those times, fake news was quite rampant.

"I don’t know how true this is, even in those times there used to be fake news.”

Mishra then brought up former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina's candid admission of admiration for the actress in an interview. The Bollywood diva acknowledged the visible blush on Raina's face when her name was mentioned, and she drew a parallel to Akhtar's supposed feelings towards her.

Despite this, Bendre expressed gratitude for the affection and admiration shown towards her. Her reflection on how admiration and love from fans can shape one's career was quite insightful. The YouTuber had also noted that the former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar was genuinely admiring the actress for her beauty and acting skills.

“Yes…in the start of the tournament. But it’s too hot out there [in the stadium] and so much noise, making quite uncomfortable to sit.”

Interacting with Mishra, the actress also stated that she is not a cricket fan and that her husband and son love watching the game.
