[Watch] A Romantic Fan Propose His Love Interest During ENG-SL Cricket Match

Rare instance in a cricket stadium where the final decision has been taken without availing any help of DRS.  Sounds interesting (?), but that's how the things unfolded when Sri Lanka's women's team was batting against England Women in the second ODI match at Northampton. 

The broadcasting camera panned out on a spectator couple sitting in the stands. They're joined by former England cap Steven Finn who was commentating in that match. He interacted with the couple but little the lady sitting there have any idea what was going to happen next.

The introductory chat took u-turn when Finn asked Mayank about the question he has got Dorie.  Mayank stood up and brought out the ring he carried. It was for the lady, he made her wear the ring and they both got emotional. There were tears in their eyes to which the crowd reacted with loud cheers. 

When Steven asked Dorie, "Do we have an answer?". She responded back with "YES!". And the clapping increased so did their relationship. Steven giggled on air about not using a DRS for the decision. The display board showcased 'SHE SAID YES' on screen. The happy couple got loud cheering from the spectators. 

It looked like Mayank had already informed the broadcaster about the surprise he was planning for his love interest. What better place than a cricket stadium, when both love the sport so much!
