Former skipper Virat Kohli with a reportedly net worth of INR 1,050 crore is one of the richest cricketers globally, let alone India. While most of Kohli's earning comes from cricket and endorsements, the 34-year-old also gets paid for posting on micro vlogging site Instagram.

Kohli, with a following of 25 M on Instagram, as per Hopper HQ, made roughly INR 11.45 Crore from one single sponsored post in 2023, making him the top earner from India.
Globally, Kohli is ranked 14 , with football superstars Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi leading the charts. Portugal's Ronaldo earns around INR 26.7 Crore, while his rival Messi makes INR 21.49 Crore per post, respectively.
Other sporting personalities apart from Ronaldo, Messi, and Kohli in the Top 20 list include Wrestler-turned-actor Dwayne Johnson (5) and Brazil's star player Neymar da Silva (19).
The second Indian after Kohli is actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is 29th in the Top 50, earning INR 4.4 crore per post.
