Yuzvendra Chahal took to Instagram to break the silence on raging rumours over his alleged divorce from his wife, Dhanashree Verma. In a detailed statement, Chahal called out wild theories and speculation floated by fans around his personal life and took a dig at his wife by dropping the title of being a ‘husband.’

Yuzvendra Chahal has reportedly hit rock bottom in his personal life. Last week, his wife, Dhanashree Verma, unfollowed him on social media and wiped off the couple’s images. Chahal reciprocated by unfollowing Dhanashree too.

This gave rise to divorce rumours, and fans cooked up wild theories about the cause of the alleged separation.

Yuzvendra Chahal sheds the title of 'husband'

With a view to putting an end to the rumours, Yuzvendra Chahal used social media to release a statement. He acknowledged the fans’ support but urged them to stop spreading false news. He added how false coverage has hurt his family.  

Moreover, Yuzi Chahal addressed himself as ‘son,’ ‘brother,’ and ‘friend,’ and not husband, which has the fans convinced that the cricketer is indeed headed towards a divorce.

Not only that, Chahal stated that he does not need sympathy, which is another potential dig at his wife after she posted an emotional message on her social media earlier this week.

Chahal married Dhanashree in 2020 after they met each other during Covid lockdown. After four years of marriage, the couple seems to have hit a rough patch.

Days after divorce rumours broke out, Yuzvendra Chahal’s images with a mystery girl resurfaced on social media. The picture is believed to have been taken at a hotel, where Chahal hid his face while seeing the paparazzi. These leaked images gave rise to cheating allegations as Chahal is reportedly heading for a divorce with their wife, Dhanashree Verma. However, the authenticity of the picture is unclear as both parties are yet to confirm the rumours.
