"Work out - 99% of the time." That’s the caption Indian cricket captain Rohit Sharma chose for the first half of his latest Instagram reel, where he’s seen sweating it out in the gym, pumping iron, and giving it his all ahead of India’s upcoming home season.

But, just when fans thought they had seen the full serious, no-nonsense side of Rohit Sharma, the video took a hilarious turn.

Rohit Sharma’s Instagram Reel Delights Fans Before Bangladesh Tests

The "Hitman" revealed his mischievous 1% side, teasing his gym-mates and breaking into laughter, reminding everyone that while he may be all business on the field, there’s always room for a little playfulness.

The reel went viral instantly, with fans loving the way the 37-year-old balanced his intense training with moments of lightheartedness. Rohit’s ability to switch gears from being the calm and calculative captain to channelling his inner Mumbaikar left netizens in splits.

As the saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." Rohit seems to be a firm believer in that. While 99% of his time is devoted to perfecting his game, that 1% shows a side of him that his teammates, and now the world, adore - a side that keeps the dressing room upbeat and his gym sessions lively.

Rohit Sharma Gearing Up For IND Vs BAN Test Series

After enjoying a brief break post the Sri Lanka tour, Rohit has returned to training with a vengeance. Apart from spending quality time with his family, the Indian skipper was spotted hitting the gym, building up his fitness for the gruelling season ahead.

His return will mark the beginning of India’s two-match Test series against Bangladesh, followed by a three-match home series against New Zealand.

But Rohit’s biggest test will come later this year when India embarks on their highly anticipated 5-match Test series against Australia. With fitness and form being key, the Indian skipper will be leaving no stone unturned in his preparation.

Rohit, alongside Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah, and Ravichandran Ashwin, did not feature in the initial stages of the Duleep Trophy 2024, taking time to recharge and train before the intense international season. Now, the Mumbai batter is raring to go.
