Rishabh Pant Grabs The Limelight With Special Custom-Made Gloves

Indian wicket-keeping batter Rishabh Pant has been tremendous in the past for his national side, even after dealing with sudden personal trauma, as a dramatic accident that could have possibly changed his life. However, overcoming the hurdles in his journey, Pant has transformed himself into a dynamic wicket-keeping batter.

Pant's ability to change the game, not just with the bat, but also with the gloves behind the stumps, has been monumental. His heroic innings in the past have changed how the Indian team used to play, especially in the red-ball format.

Currently, he's fresh off two centuries against England in the first Test at Headingley. However, in the ongoing game at Edgbaston in Birmingham, Pant failed to replicate his performance with the bat and departed cheaply for 25 in the first innings, where India mounted to 587, courtesy of skipper Shubman Gill's 269.

Nonetheless, despite his failure with the bat, the left-handed batter is in the spotlight for something unusual. Known for his acrobatic wicket-keeping skills, Pant is currently donning special custom-made SG orange wicket-keeping gloves, and what is special about those gloves is the iconic Spider-Man logo. The social media has gone into a frenzy, as every Pant fan knows that the big hitter is a massive Spider-Man fan.

India Strikes Back After A Massive 300-Run Stand Between Brook And Smith

After getting the home side, England, on the back foot with five wickets for just 84 runs on the board, the duo of Harry Brook and Jamie Smith went on to punish the Indian bowling line-up with their aggressive counter-attacking attitude, as they stitched a gigantic 300-run partnership for the sixth wicket.

However, soon after, Brook lost his stumps to pacer Akash Deep for 158, ending a massive 303-run stand. Currently, Smith is still at the crease at the score of 173*, while Chris Woakes left for just 5, with England having 395 on the board for the loss of seven wickets after the end of 87 overs, trailing by 192 runs after avoiding the follow-on.
