Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant embraced his roots to don traditional outfit at his sister, Sakshi’s wedding in Mussoorie. The wedding was a lavish affair with cricketing icons such as MS Dhoni and Gautam Gambhir marking their presence.

Days after India’s triumph in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, Indian players travelled back home from Dubai. Pant, the aggressive wicket-keeper batsman, traveled directly to Mussoorie for his sister Sakshi Pant's wedding.

Sakshi Pant wedded London businessman Ankit Chaudhary in a lavish wedding at the ITC Hotel in Mussoorie. The ceremony was a mix of tradition and celebration, with close family, friends, and cricketing celebrities in attendance.

Meanwhile, Rishabh Pant donned a traditional avatar for the big event. He dressed up in a white floral kurta and an orange turban and blessed the newly wed couple.

Sakshi, meanwhile, dazzled in a red and gold lehenga with embroidery, paired with statement jewellery, a classic bridal bun, and fresh flowers. Ankit complemented her in an ivory sherwani with gold embroidery and a regal turban.

The wedding was a lavish affair and the star-studded guest list included MS Dhoni, Suresh Raina, Prithvi Shaw, Nitish Rana, Gautam Gambhir and actor Sunny Singh. In several videos leaked from the wedding, Dhoni, Raina and Pant were seen shaking legs.

Meanwhile, with the wedding concluded, Pant is likely to head to Lucknow to join LSG for the IPL 2025 season.

Pant To Lead LSG In IPL 2025

Rishabh Pant has been appointed as the new captain of Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). The announcement was made on January 20 at an LSG press conference, where franchise owner Sanjiv Goenka confirmed their aggressive pursuit of Pant in the auction where they bought him for INR 27 crore.

Pant’s appointment marks a fresh start for LSG, who did not retain KL Rahul, their captain for the last two seasons. While Nicholas Pooran was a strong contender for the role, the management opted for Pant to lead their title charge.
