On Monday, Pakistan speedster, Shaheen Afridi, penned a heartfelt message for his son, Aliyaar Afridi, who turned one year old. The left-arm pacer expressed his love and gratitude towards his son in an emotional post on Instagram. Taking to his official Instagram account, Shaheen shared multiple photos and cherished memories with his son.

Shaheen Afridi gets emotional on son's 1st birthday

"Happy Birthday Aliyaar – one year already! The moment I carried you for the very first time," Shaheen wrote. 


"Watching you grow, smile, and take your tiny steps has been the most beautiful journey of our lives. Our greatest blessing and our purest joy. Mama & Baba love you more than words can ever say," he added.

Shaheen Afridi's father in-law, and former cricketer, Shahid Afridi also penned a heartfelt message for his grandson on his birthday.

"Happy 1st birthday to my precious Aliyaar. In just one year, you’ve brought more love and light than I ever imagined. May Allah bless you with a life full of health, happiness, and purpose. You are so deeply loved," he expressed.

Shaheen Afridi's love story with Ansha Afridi

Shaheen Afridi tied the knot with Ansha Afridi, daughter of Shahid Afridi, in September 2023. Notably, the couple had their engagement ceremony in 2021, and interestingly, it was Shaheen Afridi who expressed his desire to marry Ansha.

Shaheen revealed that they never had any formal meetings, but they used to visit each other’s houses, and that is how the love story blossomed. Shaheen also revealed that at the end of the day, he bares his heart out to his wife, and she always listens and validates his feelings. He revealed that after any stressful day, the one person he calls to unwind is his wife, Ansha.

The power couple welcomed their first born in August 2024, and they named him Aliyaar Afridi.
