Indian women's cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur recently attended the CEAT cricket awards and snubbed Ranbir Kapoor to reveal that her favourite Bollywood actor is none other than the charismatic Rocky from the film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, i.e. Ranveer Singh.

Harmanpreet Kaur, one of the most successful women's cricketers and the captain of the Indian women's team, is gearing up for the impending T20 World Cup. A 15-member squad was released last week wherein Kaur was named captain, with Smriti Mandhana asked to be her deputy.

Meanwhile, ahead of the mega tournament, Harmanpreet Kaur took some time off the field to unwind herself. As a brand ambassador of CEAT Tyres, she attended CEAT cricket awards 2024 held in Mumbai. On the red carpet, Kaur was asked a unique quiz consisting of non-cricketing questions, mostly related to films and Bollywood. 

When asked to reveal her favourite actor, Harmanpreet Kaur picked Ranveer Singh without a second thought. She admired his performance in the hit film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, in which Ranveer played Rocky opposite Alia Bhatt.

Harmanpreet Kaur ignored in WBBL Draft

In a surprising turn of events, Harmanpreet Kaur was snubbed off the WBBL draft held on September 1. Smriti Mandhana, Dayalan Hemalatha, Shikha Pandey, Yastika Bhatia, Deepti Sharma and Jemimah Rodrigues were the only Indian players picked during the draft process.

Harmanpreet Kaur, Richa Ghosh and explosive opener Shafali Verma unexpectedly went unsold. Notably, the 2024 WBBL season will kick off on October 27, and after 43 games, the finals will be held on December 1.
