Chennai Super Kings (CSK) skipper MS Dhoni has dismissed the idea of starting a YouTube channel, citing his infrequent use of social media platforms. Dhoni, known for his calm demeanor, is not an active social media user and sporadically engages with these platforms.

When questioned about his absence on YouTube, Dhoni attributed it to his limited use of social media, stating that he finds it challenging to be in front of the camera.

"I cannot do this because it’s very tough. I am somebody, I won’t say camera conscious, but I can’t just get it done. It doesn’t come naturally to me," said the former Indian captain.

Dhoni emphasized his preference for one-on-one conversations and in-person interactions, indicating that managing a YouTube channel doesn't align with his natural inclinations.

Dhoni humorously added,"Plus, I am a bit moody. I might post 2-3 videos and, like my Instagram account, disappear after one year."

While various cricketers, both former and current, have found success with their YouTube channels, such as Ravichandran Ashwin, Aakash Chopra and AB de Villiers Dhoni remains content with his less frequent social media presence.

On the professional front, Dhoni has been retained as the captain for the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Despite playing with a knee niggle throughout the IPL 2023 season, Dhoni led the Super Kings to their sixth title.

Following speculations about his future, Dhoni put them to rest after winning the IPL 2023 title, announcing his return to play for CSK in 2024 as a gesture of appreciation to the fans who have supported him.
