The Punjab Kings dugout was full of excitement when 24-year-old Priyansh Arya lit up the Mullanpur stadium with a stunning century against Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in IPL 2025. But more than the century, what grabbed everyone’s attention was Preity Zinta’s joyful reaction. The team co-owner couldn’t contain her happiness, she jumped and cheered as Arya created magic on the field.

Arya, a left-handed batter from Delhi, made a grand statement by scoring 103 runs off just 42 balls. His fiery innings included 7 fours and 9 massive sixes.

After Punjab Kings won the match by 18 runs, Preity Zinta joined Priyansh for a fun post-match chat. She teased him saying:

“I met you just a day ago and you didn’t speak a single word, you were completely silent. And then you played like this today! How does it feel?”

Priyansh, with a cheeky smile, replied: 

“When we met, I was enjoying listening to you talk, that’s why I didn’t say anything. As for the game; it feels amazing, like I’m on top of the world!”

His reply left fans grinning, and the moment quickly went viral on social media, with many calling it a flirty and sweet exchange.

Arya’s powerful innings made him the second-fastest Indian to score a century in IPL history, reaching the milestone in just 39 balls. However, he was eventually dismissed for 103 by Noor Ahmad, but as he walked back, he received a standing ovation from teammates and Preity Zinta herself.

Priyansh Arya's IPL Journey 

Priyansh’s IPL journey has been quite the ride. He was bought by Punjab Kings for Rs 3.8 crore in the mega auction. Before this, he had impressed everyone in the Delhi Premier League (DPL), where he scored 608 runs in 10 innings and even hit six sixes in an over. He also shone in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy, ending as Delhi’s top run-getter with 222 runs in 7 innings.

Interestingly, despite such performances, he went unsold in the IPL 2024 auction. But 2025 seems to be his breakout year.
