In a recent development, Kuldeep Yadav got a once-in-a-lifetime moment as he shared the same frame with football legend Lionel Messi during the 'GOAT India Tour 2025'. Kuldeep, along with India women’s fast bowler Renuka Thakur, featured in a special promotional shoot with the Argentine superstar and his teammate Rodrigo De Paul for a global sports brand.

Kuldeep Yadav’s love for football is well known, and meeting Messi was clearly a dream come true for the Indian spinner. The 31-year-old was seen smiling brightly and enjoying every moment with the greatest footballer of all time.

Lionel Messi began his GOAT India Tour in Kolkata, where he unveiled a statue of himself at Salt Lake Stadium. Messi was later seen playing casually on the field with teammates Luis Suarez and Rodrigo 

Next he travelled to Hyderabad and  Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy also joined the celebrations with him

Messi thrilled fans by showing off his trademark ball control and even kicked a football into the crowd, leaving lucky fans with a priceless souvenir.

The football icon then travelled to Mumbai, where he attended a celebrity meet-and-greet at the Cricket Club of India before visiting the iconic Wankhede Stadium. Marine Drive and local trains were decorated with banners and jerseys in Messi’s honour.

Lionel Messi’s meaningful tour of India

At the Wankhede Stadium, Messi received a grand welcome from thousands of fans chanting his name. The evening became even more special when he met cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar gifted Messi a signed Indian jersey from the 2011 World Cup.

Messi concluded his India visit with a trip to Vantara, an animal rescue and conservation centre led by Anant Ambani in Jamnagar. There, Messi took part in traditional rituals, met conservation teams, and spent time with rescued animals, bringing his historic India tour to a meaningful close.
