Bollywood actor and Indian Street Premier League owner, Saif Ali Khan was taken to Mumbai's Lilawati Hospital on Thursday early morning. It has been reported that Khan was involved in a robbery at his Bandra's residence and was stabbed on his arm by the burglar.
What happened to Saif Ali Khan?
The incident occurred at 2:30 AM at Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's home in South Mumbai's Bandra. A robber had entered their residence and attacked him with a knife when he tried to pacify the situation. Saif, who is the son of former Indian cricket team captain Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, was quickly rushed to the hospital after sustaining significant injuries.
As reported by PTI, Lilavati Hospital's COO Dr Niraj Uttamani, Saif was stabbed by an unidentified person at his Bandra home and brought to the medical facility at 3.30 am.
"Saif has six stabs and two are deep. Of this one is close to spine. He is being operated upon by a team of doctors led neurosurgeon Dr Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Dr Leena Jain and anaesthesiologist Dr Nisha Gandhi.
The surgery is still going on. He sustained six injuries, two are minor, two intermediate and two deep injuries, one of the injuries is on the back which is close to spine. A neurosurgeon is involved in the surgery," Dr Uttamani said.

Moreover, as informed by Saif and Kareena's official PR team, the Bollywood actor is in surgery after being attacked however, the duo have reassured fans of his recovery.
"There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing surgery. It is a police matter, and we request patience from the media and fans," the message said.
Police Arrive At Saif's Mumbai Residence
Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police has arrived at Saif and his wife's residence to investigate the matter further.
