Currently, Indian players are toiling hard in Alur in the ongoing preparation camp for the upcoming Asia Cup 2023. The six-nation tournament will start on August 30 and will take place across two nations — Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

The team led by Rohit Sharma is likely to depart on August 30 for Colombo, with India kicking off its campaign against arch-rivals Pakistan on September 2 at Pallekele.

Amongst the touring party, Pandya who has been also sweating it out in the middle since August 25 in Bangalore, on Monday shared a post on Instagram featuring his three-year-old son, Agastya.

In his post, India's potential white-ball skipper expressed his longing for Agastya, and called him his partner in crime.

Pandya captioned the post as, "My little partner in crime 🥰 Miss you more with each second ❤️❤️."

Agastya has been a constant feature on tours with Pandya, along with wife Nataša Stanković and is seen chilling around several Indian players such as KL Rahul, Krunal Pandya, and Ishaan Kishan to name a few.

Meanwhile, Pandya, who has been named Sharma's deputy for the Asia Cup 2023, will hope to rekindle his lost form, having been struggling for both runs and wickets in white-ball cricket.

A crucial cog in India's ODI scheme of things, the Gujarat Titans captain has played 77 50-overs matches scoring 1,666 runs and picking 73 wickets between 2016-2023.
