It was a night of high drama, emotional extremes, and long-awaited glory at the Narendra Modi Stadium as Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally ended their 18-year-long title drought, lifting their first-ever Indian Premier League (IPL) trophy in 2025. But while Bengaluru celebrated, the heartbreak was palpable in the Punjab Kings (PBKS) camp leaving co-owner Preity Zinta upset.

RCB’s Moment Of Glory, PBKS’ Missed Chance
RCB's win came on the back of a gritty bowling effort from Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Yash Dayal, who defended 190/9 with precision, restricting PBKS to 184/7 in a thrilling finale. The victory sealed RCB’s name in IPL history books, finally shedding their tag of underachievers.
For PBKS, however, it was yet another missed opportunity. This was only their second IPL final, the first since 2014, and the heartbreak of coming so close yet again was too much to bear for fans and franchise.
