Harmanpreet, currently playing her second season with the Melbourne Renegades, discussed the camaraderie within the team. To boost the team's spirit, she has been introducing them to a variety of Indian tracks.

She further revealed that the entire Renegades squad has developed a liking for these melodies, with her music collection becoming a focal point of their bonding.

"Everyone in the Renegades squad enjoys Indian music, and they're always eager to listen to my playlist," said Kaur.

Interestingly, Athapaththu and her Sri Lankan compatriots are equally drawn to Hindi songs.

"I like Hindi songs too. In fact, my Sri Lankan teammates regularly follow Indian music. It's a shared passion that keeps us connected on and off the field, added Athapaththu.

The conversation then navigated to the quality of cricket in the WBBL. Both Kaur and Athapaththu lauded the emerging talent in the league. Athapaththu compared the competitiveness of WBBL and the Women's Indian Premier League (WIPL), emphasizing the unique skills and multicultural flair of the WBBL.

"I believe WBBL and the Women's Indian Premier League (WIPL) are the two most competitive women's cricket leagues in the world. What gives WBBL the edge is the skills and diversity of local talent that add a unique dimension to the league,” stated Athapaththu.

On the other hand, praised the commitment and passion of the local players, stating that such attributes elevate the league to high standards.

"WBBL has many positives, but the best among them is the approach of the local players in these franchises towards the game. Their dedication and hard work have made the league truly remarkable,” opined the Indian skipper.
