'Would love to read MS Dhoni's mind,' says Dinesh Karthik in fun interaction

Veteran wicketkeeper-batter Dinesh Karthik is back in the Team India set-up after a long gap of almost three years. He last played for India in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019, and since then, he has failed to make it to the national side. 

Not many would have expected him to make a comeback to the national team at the age of 37, but then such was Karthik's impact in the recently concluded Indian Premier League that the selection council and the team management have been forced to provide him with another opportunity. 

Karthik, with his brutal finishing skills, smashed 330 runs in 16 matches at a staggering strike rate of 183.33 in IPL 2022 and helped RCB finish the games on several occasions. Though he faced only 2 balls in the first T20I against South Africa, the 37-year-old proved his worth right in the Cuttack T20I with a DK trademark late flourish. 

Karthik was spotted playing a fun 'This or That' game, a video of which is shared by the official Twitter handle of BCCI.  

The wicket-keeper batter answered a lot of questions, and in one of those interesting queries, he asserted that if he got the ability to read minds, he will try it on MS Dhoni to go through his mind.   

"If I could fly, I would fly to Alaska. I have heard great things about Alaska. If I am given the ability to read minds, then definitely get into the mind of MS Dhoni," said Dinesh Karthik. 

When asked to choose between two Tennis Giants – Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal, Karthik took no time to pick the former. Stating the reason behind choosing him, Karthik said, "I have always been enamoured by the way he (Roger Federer) carries himself on and off the field."  

In the same interaction, Karthik further went on to pick mountains over beaches, cleaning over cooking and Argentina star Lionel Messi over Cristiano Ronaldo as his preferred choices.

Karthik, as his final preference, chose a movie to be made about his life rather than a book being written about him. "Movie on my life. It's a more fascinating process," Karthik explained.
