Veteran Zimbabwe all-rounder Sikandar Raza added yet another jewel to his crown on Tuesday as he bludgeoned the fastest ODI century for his country in a crucial World Cup Qualifier fixture against the Netherlands.

Raza smoked a 54-ball century, which he brought up with an audacious six to lead the home side to a commanding victory with just over 9 overs to spare.

The champion cricketer broke the record of his teammate Sean Williams, who had smashed a 70-ball ton in the previous game.

Raza smashed 6 fours and as many as 8 sixes in his whirlwind 54-ball 102*, ensuring that Zimbabwe cantered to an easy 6-wicket win in a 315-run-chase.

This is his 6th ton at the Harare Sports Club, the most by a batsman.

It was a perfect day for the Pakistan-born cricketer as he thrived with the ball as well, accounting for 4 wickets while giving away just 55 runs in the process.

Earlier, Zimbabwe got off to a brilliant start to what looked like a stiff run-chase, with their opening duo of Joylord Gumbie (40 off 55) and skipper Craig Ervine (50 off 48) adding 80 runs in just under 14 overs.

Sean Williams picked off from where he had left in the last game as he peeled off an imperious 58-ball 91, before Raza got into the act to script history.

Zimbabwe will now lock horns with the West Indies at the same venue on June 24.
