Salman Nizar grabbed limelight in the Syed Mushtaq Ali encounter between Kerala and Mumbai with a fanatastic knock of 99 off 49 balls. He hit five fours and eight sixes in his knock and he has shown the world what he is a capable of. However, in the recent IPL 2025 mega auction, Salman Nizar went unsold.
He is a left-handed middle-order batter born in Thalassery, Kerala on June 30, 1997. He made his first-class debut in 2015 against Assam while the List A and T20 debut came in 2017 and 2018. In his debut T20 game, he could score just six runs, but his T20 record is pretty good with an average close to 40 and a strike rate of 135.93 in 24 matches before the game against Mumbai.

The left-handed batter though is yet to hit a century in any format for Kerala and his highest first-class record is 95 not out. He is just 27 years old now, and would be hoping to deliver consistently in the current domestic season.
Talking about his knock aganst Mumbai, it enabled his side to post a massive total of 234 on the board. The star-studded oppponets led by Shreyas Iyer failed to chase down the target even though Ajinkya Rahane hit a classy knock of 68 off just 35 balls and Sanju Samson's boys won the game by 43 runs.
