On Sunday, February 23, India will lock horns against Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium in UAE. It is a much-awaited clash and the most-anticipated game in the Champions Trophy.

India started their campaign on a high as they beat Bangladesh by six wickets in their opening match. On the contrary, Pakistan, who are also the host, had the worst possible start and are last in their group after a 60-run defeat against New Zealand.

The upcoming clash is a big match for both teams as a defeat for India would turn things upside down, while Pakistan would then level with India on points. Meanwhile, this article will shed light on the last time these two neighbouring countries faced each other in ODIs at the Dubai International Stadium.

What Happened When India And Pakistan Faced Each Other At Dubai International Stadium?

It is worth noting the last time these two teams locked horns against each other in ODIs at the Dubai International Stadium was in 2018 in the Super 4 stage of the Asia Cup. It was a near-perfect match for the Men in Blue as they handed Pakistan a 9-wicket defeat.

Pakistan, batting first, tumbled for just 237 runs on the board. Jasprit Bumrah, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, and Kuldeep Yadav. In reply, India chased down the target comfortably as Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan stitched centuries.

Rohit scored an unbeaten 111 (119), but Shikhar Dhawan won the player of the match award for his 114 (100), which featured 16 fours and two sixes. He was also the leading run-getter in that tournament. Eventually, India chased down the target in just 39.3 overs and cruised towards the finals of 2018 Asia Cup.
