In the match No. 41 of the ongoing Indian Premier League Sunrisers Hyderabad will host Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 25, 2024, at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad. 

SRH under, the astute leadership of Pat Cummins, has been in some commendable form this season and is currently placed third in the points table with 10 points. 

On the other hand, RCB & Co have had a disheartening journey in the ongoing IPL season and have just won one match (against PBKS) out of 8 and are placed last in the points table.

In match No. 30, Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosted Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 15, 2024, at the  M Chinnaswamy stadium, Bengaluru. It was a thrilling and high-scoring encounter where SRH defeated RCB by 25 runs. 

Earlier in the match, RCB captain Faf du Plessis won the toss and elected to bowl first. Hyderabad openers completely exposed the RCB bowling unit as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head put up a 100-run partnership. 

The Australian batter was in some exceptional form he scored a 39-ball hundred that stands as the fourth-highest in the IPL history after Chris Gayle (30 balls), Yusuf Pathan (37 balls) and David Miller (38 balls).

After Abhishek Sharma was dismissed, scoring 34 runs off 22 balls. Heinrich Klaasen smashed the RCB bowlers and there was no sigh of relief for them as he scored 67 runs off 31 balls, with two fours and seven maximums. 

After Klaasen got out , Aiden Markram (32 off 17 balls) and Abdul Samad (37 off just 10 balls) helped SRH to score the highest total in IPL history 287/3.

RCB openers Virat Kohli and captain Faf du Plessis started the run-chase with a positive attitude. The Indian star batter scored 42 off 20 balls before Mayank Markande clean-bowled him. 

Will Jacks faced an unfortunate run-out as he just scored 7 off 4 balls. Faf departed for 62 off 38 balls and very soon the batting lineup collapsed. 

But the RCB 's finisher and the most prolific batter of the season Dinesh Karthik scored 83 runs off 35 balls but was not supported well from the other end. RCB managed to score 262/7 and lost the match by 25 runs.
