One of the most contentious modes of dismissal in cricket is getting run out at the non-strikers' end by the bowler. Despite being called as within the law by custodians of the game, Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC), the dismissal continues to elicit reactions from across the spectrum.
India's Ravichandran Ashwin, who has been most vocal about employing the mode of dismissals in matches, was asked about a unique method to discard the 'Mankading' by none-other-than all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer.
Iyer, currently at the National Cricket Academy (NCA) in Bangalore, shared a clip on Instagram highlighting how he fooled the bowler after backing too much on the non-strikers' end, and captioned it , "What do you think about this ?? @rashwin99 π¬π¬"
Apart from Ashwin, pacer Avesh Khan as replied to Iyer's hilarous post. Ashwin responded with multiple laughing emojis "ππππ", and Team India and Uttar Pradesh pacer Khan wrote "Umpire ka kya role hai isme ππππ" [what is the role of umpire here?].

Khan flew off to Ireland with India's T20I side this morning for the upcoming three-match series, commencing August 18.
Meanwhile, Iyer, who was seen bowling to KL Rahul in NCA nets over the weekend, is called up as a stand-by player for India's T20I squad for Asian Games in China.
