[Watch] Rohit Sharma Invites Shreyas Iyer To Shake A Leg During Wankhede's 50th Celebration

On Sunday, January 19, Wankhede Stadium celebrated its 50th year of celebrations organised by the MCA. The event was attended by thousands of fans and featured several dignitaries such as Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Rohit Sharma. 

The event was full of light and fun as Sachin Tendulkar hogged the internet after he received a thunderous welcome when asked to come upon the stage. While Sachin is doing rounds on the internet, the Indian skipper is also buzzing on social media as a video has gone viral where he can be inviting Shreyas Iyer on stage to shake a leg with him. It was when Rohit was on the stage with Ravi Shastri and Rohit had gestured to Iyer to come and dance with him. Meanwhile, the camera focused on Iyer, who was in the audience and laughing at that gesture.

Rohit Sharma Vows To Bring Glory During Champions Trophy 2025

In the same event, Rohit too received a king-like welcome as the hitman was greeted with 'Mumbai Cha Raja Rohit Sharma' chants. Further, Rohit addressed the fans where he vowed to bring back Champions Trophy that will be held in Pakistan and UAE from February 19. 

 “We will try our best. It has always been a dream to represent the Indian team in any ICC trophy. We will embark on another dream of 140 crore people. I'm sure when we reach Dubai. 140 crore people will be behind us. We will try to do everything we can and bring the trophy back to Wankhede.”

India will kickstart their Champions Trophy 2025 campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh.
