Indian cricket team’s newest batting sensation, Rinku Singh, has been invincible since his debut in the national colours. During a recent T20 game against South Africa, Singh’s power-hitting brilliance was once again on full display.

Batting first, the Indian top order collapsed. They lost three wickets at a mere 55 runs on the board, and that’s when Rinku Singh stepped into the rescue. He initially took time to settle in and refrained from pulling off any rash or unnecessary shot.

Gradually, Rinku picked up the pace and unleashed carnage. He took the South African pacers to the cleaners and pulled off classic big shots. Singh scored 68 runs off 39 deliveries, with nine boundaries and two sixes.

One of those sixes landed straight on the media box and left a crack in the glass door. The images of the same were shared by the Indian team's media manager, Rajal Arora.

Meanwhile, after the game, an ignorant Rinku Singh was made aware of the ill-effect of his power, and the latter was surprisingly left embarrassed. The batter said he didn't realise where his shot landed but gracefully apologised for the inconvenience. It all ended playfully as Rinku Singh took pride in his power and insane hitting ability.

Rinku Singh's brilliance was wasted as the Indian team ended up on the losing side. In a rain-hit game, South Africa's target was revised to 152 off 15 overs, with a five-over power play.

The Proteas were smart enough to maximise the power play as the conditions were extremely wet owing to a short spell of rain. In the first five overs, the home side put 66 runs on board, thus putting the Indian bowling unit under extreme pressure.

The visitors never really recovered from the initial carnage and ended up losing the game in the penultimate over.
