Pakistan's white-ball skipper Babar Azam is all set to lead the men's team in their upcoming T20I series against New Zealand. To those unversed, Babar was recently reappointed as Pakistan's captain in T20Is, replacing Shaheen Afridi, who held the position for a brief time. 

While Babar is expected to kickstart his second innings as the skipper with a bang, one of his bold answers to a tricky question has gone viral on social media. 

In a podcast, the host gives Babar a hypothetical situation, asking him to pick a bowler between Pakistan's Naseem Shah and India's Jasprit Bumrah to defend ten runs in an over.

However, in an interesting response, the stylish Pakistan batter instantly picks Naseem, subtly ignoring the Indian spearhead. 

Although Babar's decision to choose his teammate is understandable, underestimating someone like Bumrah, known for his incredible death bowling exploits, certainly questions his credibility as an unbiased tactician. 

While Naseem has undoubtedly emerged as a brute force with the new ball, Bumrah's ability to choke the opposition across phases definitely makes him more challenging than his counterpart from across the border. 

Talking about Bumrah, the experienced speedster has set the IPL 2024 on fire, proving himself as MI's most valuable asset in the competition. He will be seen in action in MI's next group-stage game against Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 11.
