Akash Ambani, son of Mumbai Indians owner Mukesh Ambani, was seemingly spotted driving for legendary opening batter Rohit Sharma a day prior to team’s IPL 2024 home game against RCB.

As Akash drove for Sharma across the streets of Mumbai, several fans of the former captain mobbed around the car to catch a glimpse of their favorite cricketing star.

Mumbai Indians batter Rohit Sharma was spotted sitting next to Akash Ambani when the latter was driving his car around the streets of Mumbai on April 10.

Fans were quick to catch a glimpse of the joyride of the two prominent Mumbai Indians personalities, with several social media users sharing the footage of the same on X (formerly Twitter).

Interestingly, Rohit Sharma is slated to turn up for Mumbai Indians the following day at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium for a match against a visiting RCB unit.

A couple of months ago, the Mumbai Indians team management stripped Sharma from his decade-long captaincy role in favor of dashing all-rounder Hardik Pandya. Under Pandya’s leadership, the Mumbai Indians lost each of their opening three games before finding a way to upstage Delhi Capitals in match number 20 of the IPL 2024 season.

Rohit Sharma’s form with the bat played a major role in their win over the Capitals, considering the legendary opener smacked a 27-ball 49 at the top of the order in the game.
