In match No.33 of the Indian Premier League 2024, Mumbai Indians returned to winning ways against Punjab Kings and won the match by 9 runs on April 18, 2024.

The close and thrilling contest almost saw Punjab secure an unlikely win following the heroics of Ashutosh Sharma (61 runs off 28 balls) and Shashank Singh (41 runs 25 balls).

On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee scalped two wickets for Mumbai and another positive for the franchise was the return of Suryakumar Yadav who scored 78 runs in 53 balls against Punjab Kings.

After the match ended, a video went viral on social media of television footage of MI head coach Mark Boucher and batter Tim David showing signs of DRS to review a wide call from the dugout.

In the 15th over of the MI innings, Punjab bowler Arshdeep Singh bowled a delivery away from Suryakumar Yadav's reach and on-field umpire Vineet Kulkarni did not give it a wide.

The star Mumbai batter did not take a review, but after a few seconds, the on-field umpire went upstairs. Sam Curran, the stand-in captain of Punjab Kings, was seen complaining about the gestures made by the head coach and Tim David in the dugouts.

In the video, Mumbai's Tim could be seen signalling for DRS to be taken, before realising that he is on camera.
