The Day 1 of the Boxing Day Test between India and Australia has been a spicy affair with the Baggy Greens dominating the morning and afternoon sessions. India came under some level of control late at session 3 as Jasprit Bumrah scalped Travis Head and Mitchell Marsh in quick succession to frustrate the Aussie camp.

Amidst the on-field heat where Virat Kohli was fined because of shoulder nudging Sam Konstas, India's all-rounder 'Sir' Ravindra Jadeja cooked up a hilarious mimic action that left the crowd and the commentators in splits.

Ravindra Jadeja was spotted playfully mimicking the bowling action of Jasprit Bumrah with the ball in his left hand. He hilariously attempted to replicate the unique slinging action as Bumrah walked past him.

In the match, Ravindra Jadeja bowled 14 overs and was successful in giving India a breakthrough by dismissing the dangerous Sam Konstas with an LBW. Meanwhile, the ever-reliable 'Jassi bhai' Jasprit Bumrah scalped 3 wickets of Usman Khawaja, Travis Head, and Mitchell Marsh to put a halt to the Aussie firepower.

Australia Dominates Day 1 Of Boxing Day Test

Australia dominated the opening day of the Boxing Day Test, reaching 311/6 despite a late fightback from the Indian bowlers. After a blistering start from debutant Sam Konstas (60) and Usman Khawaja (57), Australia looked set for a massive score. However, Jasprit Bumrah (3/75) triggered a mini-collapse, dismissing three crucial Aussie batters. 

Ravindra Jadeja, Akash Deep, and Washington Sundar each claimed a wicket, but Steven Smith (68*) and Pat Cummins (8*) ensured Australia maintained a strong position at the stumps.
